Yay! The shipment arrives

It's going to be a crazy, nutty, insane day:

Our shipment arrives!!!

And…naturally it arrives while Mark is away on a business trip! We've only been waiting what… four months for this delivery?????  (actual delivery happened on April 25, 2012)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!  Emptying box after box after box after box sounds like great fun!!!!

Not.

Okay, except that it feels like 10xChristmas Bliss!!!!

Only {200} boxes!

Our front entry got a eensie weensie teensie bit clogged with all the boxes:

Here are some things we can do with the empty boxes:

IMG_2921peek-a-boo…or perhaps pretend robot??

IMG_2931coming to a circus near you: balancing act by Annika…

IMG_2932or movie theater for toy hamsters….

IMG_2912Naturally several of them got turned into houses (ummm…it seems I haven't take a photo of those houses!).

And some are  used for (gasp) storing stuff.  Who would have ever thought of storing stuff in boxes?  How BORING!!! On that note…we ended up with a bag of very nasty onions (WHY were they in the shipment????) and several items that were meant for storage in the USA.  I'm sure those boxes of screws and nails and wall painting supplies will REALLY come in handy here. Not.

Here's something that was most welcome:

Can you tell what it is (photo taken from a third floor window with kind of nasty window screen)???

It's our trampoline! And it only takes up the ENTIRE backyard!!!!  All that's left is space for four small fruit trees and a splash pool (which was set up four weeks later).

Anyway, here's a math question for you:

If 122 boxes arrived from the USA on Saturday traveling at a speed of 100 km/h and another 78 boxes arrived on the following Tuesday traveling from Beijing at 50 km/hr what is the percentage of sanity and back pain for Astrid?

I'm pretty sure you know the answer to that!
