TGIF!!!!  Thank Goodness it's Friday!!!!

I've finished my last Chinese language lesson with Lisha and picked up the girls from school.  The kids had WATER FUN DAY….and they're talking non-stop about all the fun they had.  :-)

Some friends planned an after school play date in the B-section (of our housing complex) play ground.  It's just so nice to hang out with friends and let the kids play and run around.  Oh, and have I mentioned that we live in the B-section????  So, the play ground is only a two-minute walk from our house.

Sam (and everyone else involved), thanks so much for organizing this little play date!  I really hope we can do it again soon!!!!

Ooooh…..I just saw our gray Honday Odyssey driving past- I asked our driver to come pick us up at 5:30pm.  I wanted to take the girls out to dinner tonight.  We've decided to eat at the Tex Mex restaurant in AoCheng (I wanted to eat at an Indian restaurant but I think I'll wait for Mark to come home and go out with us).

OH.MY.

Something must be happening at the Olympic Stadium (which happens to be across the street from the AoCheng shopping area)….because the traffic is….BAD.  Horrible.  I'd like to use some swear words to describe how bad the traffic is but as this is a G-rated blog I won't.  😛 GRRRRRRrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

And we FINALLY made it!!  Let's go eat!

The restaurant was full but they asked if we wouldn't mind sitting outside….I'm okay with that if we can get drinks right away…it's waaaaaaaay tooooo hot and sticky!!!!!

Lucky Ava gets Fanta to drink. Ever since we've moved to China we've had too many sugary sodas to drink. (sugar-free drinks are difficult to find and it isn't as if you can just drink water from the tap).

A most excellent margarita! And yes, I'm a wee bit surprised that I can get a good margarita here in China!

Annika is very happy with her quesadilla (with real guacamole!) and her tall glass of iced lemon water with mint. Mmmm!!!

Dinner was GREAT!!!!  We still have a few minutes to kill before Mr. Li comes to pick us up.  The girls said they wanted to walk around the E-Mart shopping center.  Let's go take a look:

Mr. Pizza….Love for Women. And now you know.  (You might need to click on the photo to read the sign)

Look at the Chinese school supplies for sale at E-Mart:

Pencils, papers, pens, pencil cases, other cases….. I wonder if the kids in China need to bring their own supplies to school or if the school supplies it for them.

Mr. Li is finally here! Time to go home.  It may be dark out but it's still hot and humid outside ….and I think it's time to go back home!!!!!
