December 2013-
We've heard that the Chinese don't celebrate Christmas but that doesn't mean that the malls aren't decked out in Christmas glory of one form or another. Check out this Gingerbread Man chilling out in his cool chariot ride. So…are we celebrating Cinderella's wedding or Christmas?????
Ava and Annika got our Christmas tree set up this year. I'm loving the fact that they can do it all by themselves (I do help out here and there). :-)
Mark made fudge …or pundge as Mark's family calls it. It's one of the very few Christmas traditions we observe: Daddy cooks up a batch of chocolate-y-ooey-gooey fudge while the Mommy & kiddos decorate the tree. Seems like a fair trade, doesn't it?Not related to Christmas (at least that I can tell)….
For several weeks there was a camera crew filming who-knows-what in our neighborhood. Lots of people gathered around (actors?? Who the heck knows???!?) during the day at different locations (this time at one of the parks close to us) and at night-time with BRIGHT lights in one of the houses. I am curious to see the film/movie/whatever it is that they were filming. As far as I could make out it was all in Chinese.
