Project Life 2013: Week 2 of January

February 5, 2013-

As always I'm behind….and catching up seems to be the norm for me these days.  At the moment I'm completely wrapped up in digital scrapbooking.  Or, to be more precise, I'm devoting most of my days to digital Project Life (it's something Becky Higgins developed to help people easily document their every day lives).  I'm trying to document 2012 (our first year in China) and 2013 at the same time.  It's a LOT to chew through! The learning curve for Adobe Photoshop Elements is kind of steep but I've taken a couple of online classes (thank you Jessica Sprague!) and I feel like I've at least got a handle on the basics.  Hopefully, I'll be spitting these out faster as I do more of them.  Currently, one layout does take longer than an identical paper-only lay-out but I have so many more options open to me.

I'll be posting my Project Life pages on the blog as I complete them.

Here's week 2 of January 2013:

What do you think?

Ack!!!  Chinese New Year aka "Spring" Festival (ummm….it's not spring at all!  It's snowing and it's COLD!!!) celebrations are under way.  Fireworks are going off night and day.  I'm finding it harder and harder to sleep through all the noise!

Check out this link for some of the latest news in China that doesn't at all surprise us expats living here: "China Fireworks Truck Blast Causes Road Collapse" (BBC News).  I'll be honest…the only thing that surprises me is that the death toll is only five people.

Enjoy your day…or night depending on where you currently are on Earth!  I'll be sitting in front of this ol' computer cranking out more project life pages!
