ONE year!!!

January 10, 2012-

Today is our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!

One year ago, our little family of four landed in Beijing Capital.  We were completely dazed by this exotic and strange new land.  It seemed like we fell off the side of the world into the depths we never thought we'd ever get to see first-hand.  

Fast-forward one year…it still seems exotic and very frustrating at times.  The newness and our honeymoon period were over faster than you can say "SMILE!".  We don't understand a lot of things about this strange world…leading us to ask "why, why, WHY????".  Some days we crash and burn.  Other days we feel good about being here- we do love our new friends and the new foods we've gotten try.  Some days I feel overwhelmed by the language barrier, shopping issues, Chinese customs and rules….and the list keeps going and going and going…… 

Most days I still can't believe we made that huge leap across the Big Pond!!!
