Lunch time in Shirakawa-go

October 3, 2012-

After the stroll through the open air museum in Shirakawa-go it's time to find some lunch!  For some reason locating restaurants here is harder than it looks…why is that????

Thank goodness one of the near-by souvenir shops also seems to be a restaurant…

Here's looking from a bridge (not the suspension bridge) looking at the nondescript building which houses the hot spring. The outdoor tubs are just on the other side of the wooden fence.

IMG_9927Heading back to our inn….

IMG_9932The girls spent some time playing outside….pretending to do karate.  We read some books and watched movies on our iDevices.  Waiting for dinner to be served.

It's dinner time!  We have two other groups staying at the inn tonight:

A nice Japanese couple explaining the Japanese language and characters to Mark.

One group was a couple from Tokyo who enjoyed teaching Mark a little bit about the Japanese language.  The other couple was from Shanghai.

Time for bed!  Tomorrow we're heading to KYOTO!!!!!!
