Happy day-before-Mother's-Day-day. Let's celebrate with lunch at a fantastic French restaurant with friends in the lovely Italian District!
What??? Did we seriously forget to take photos of our friends???? I guess we were too busy eating and having a lovely time!
After our fantastic lunch we attempted to find the biggest flower market in Tianjin. I'm not sure what we did find but it wasn't what we were expecting!
Turtles. Snails. Crabs. Why????
And ….Scorpions????????? Seriously! Why???
Chirping crickets.
Ah yes. Thank goodness there are actually flowers for sale in this market.
And now for Mother's Day….how about a walk and a picnic at the Tianjin section of the Great Wall? It's just what I wanted!!!
And what a fantastic day for trip to the Wall! There were very few other visitors so we got to have a relaxing, stress-free walk. Apparently the following weekend the Great Wall Marathon was held at this section of the Wall. Ow, ow, ow, ow. I'm signing up for the 5K Great Wall run next year! Come join me!!!!!
