Happy Birthday to my darling Ava!
She just turned SIX YEARS OLD!
Wow! My how you've grown! I can't believe six years ago you were this tiny babe in my arms and now you're running, jumping, playing, reading, coloring and making lots of new friends. I'm so proud of you!
Ava picked out two cakes from Paris Baguette for her birthday. This chocolate cake with cute decorations she wanted to share with her class.
One of the Kindergarten teachers reading a story before we cut Ava's cake! Anybody else notice HOW MANY kindergarteners there are and HOW TINY that cake is???? Ooops! There are two kindergarten classes at IST this year with about twenty students per class. Wow!

The kindergarten classes sang Happy Birthday in English, in Korean (or at least I think it was Korean) and then one last time in Chinese. Pretty cool to hear all the different languages! (there are lots of Koreans in the class)

They even have smart boards in China! The kids got to eat their treat whie watching movies on the Smart Board.
Ava and her classmates enjoying their *tiny* bit of cake.
Is it plastic or is it a cookie? Ava's still not sure even after biting into it!!! And what was it supposed to be anyway????
Ava got to have a play date with her friend, Seobin, after school. Seobin is from Korea.
And here is Cake Number 2. It's a cream cake with fruit (the layers are sponge cake, cream, and bits of tropical fruit).
Oh YEAH!!!! That's one yummy cake!!!!! MmMMmmmmmmm!!!!!! Sweetened whipped cream, tropical fruit, and sponge cake.
Go pack your bags because we're ready for our weekend trip to……
BEIJING!!!!
(which is part of our birthday gift to Ava)
