Are you up for a gaggle of girls spending the night????? You'd better be because it's going to be rocking LOUD fun tonight!!!!!
We're celebrating Andreina's adoption birthday. :-)
Hey! Do you remember the fun decorations from the last gaggle of girls we had over last week? Well, I left those up – they seem appropriate for tonight's celebration!
So…what are the girls up to tonight???? Jumping on the trampoline, eating pizza (thank you pizza delivery! I don't know what I'd do without you!!!!), making cupcakes, decorating those cupcakes and – of course – eating those cupcakes! Maybe watching some silly movies & giggling most of the night. That goes without saying!
The girls are in charge of making the cupcakes – Funfetti cake mix (from a box). Woo hoo! I love standing by and letting them do all the work! They're doing a great job reading and following the instructions listed on the box. 🙂
Tiffany is using a ice cream scoop (with a release) to fill some of the paper cups in the muffin tin:
Now it's Fernanda's turn:
Into the oven the muffin tin goes! Set the timer….the girls are off jumping on the trampoline. We've got a rule of only three kids on the trampoline at any given time (to avoid accidents/injuries). The girls are great at taking turns. I just can't believe these girls have any energy left as today was Sports Day at school!
The cupcakes are out of the oven and cooling. You know what- how about we let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting. Remember the massive mess we had last week with the frosting? Oy vey.
Yay!
The cupcakes are cool enough to frost and decorate!
The girls are hard at work creating their masterpieces! I'm so glad I invested in the trays, tiny bowls and massives amounts of sprinkles and candies for the Christmas cookie decorating event (for Ava's class).
So, the girls have finished decorating the cupcakes. Hey girls, you're allowed to eat only ONE cupcake. Just one!
Hey, Clair? It's time to take you home….okay, saddle up girls! We're going to walk Clair back home. It's so wonderful to live so close to friends that we can easily walk them home. Boy, the air is thick and nasty smelling tonight. Blech. Good night, Clair!
Okay girls…time to head back to our house! Yes, you're allowed to watch one more movie. Then it's lights out. Okay girls…time to quiet down- please whisper. I said "please whisper!" Whew….they've settled down.
Time for us adults to take a nap- who knows how early they'll get up on Saturday morning!?!
Hey, do you want waffles for breakfast tomorrow morning? Ava makes the best waffles. 🙂
