November 2015 –
Smattering of photos taken through November…..
Annika, with Ava's help, using the perfume kit they received over the summer (from Cousin Vicki):
I find it funny that you can buy Monrovia brand pots at the local flower market. The only places where I've seen these pots is when buying potted plants. These pots come with the Monrovia branded plants. Here in China there's no need to buy fancy shmancy plants…when you can buy the pots for pennies!
Ooooooo!!! This succulent stall in the flower market is a visual treat. I love the creativity that went into this one…

Flower bouquet I created from flowers I bought at the local flower market. I actually found blue hydrangeas!!! (they usually only have pink or purple varieties … blue is not the preferred color here):
Annika asked me to make lots of braids …here's what I actually did with her hair (it was just for overnight….she took them out the following morning. Annika loves having wavy hair, even if it's temporary).
Every now and then I remind Ava to do "something creative". On this particular day she drew flowers on the magnetic white board. The striped pot in her drawing was inspired by the striped pot sitting on the coffee table (which contains a poinsettia plant in this photo).
