Spring in China: short but sweet

Spring Time Blossoms in China

I've heard many expats living in China say that spring only lasts a few days.  I didn't believe them but now I do!!! It does seem like we hopped over spring and slammed straight into summer with a hard knock on the head.  We did have a few days to enjoy the splendiforous, beautiful flowering trees that are certainly prolific here.

It also temporarily made the air smell better.  ;-)

Small play park close to our house.  Don't look too closely at the play equipment.  It's kind of falling apart. Yikes.

Ummm…so how is it possible that this area has so many trees and flowers popping up considering how gray and nasty and DRY the air is here???!? Whatever the reason (massive watering hoses) the lightening bolts of color all over this housing complex is a welcome relief!!!!!

(thank you to whomever planted them!!!)
