And so we've been in China for a little more than seven months….
and I had hoped that once we had past the six-month marker I would start to feel better about being here in China.
Now, don't get me wrong- I do love being here. I love meeting and making new friends. I love learning the Chinese language- even though I get frustrated at the lack of my progress. I love trying new foods. I love learning about the new culture. I love that I have an ayi to help me. I love the international school. I love all the traveling we've done in China.
And yet….
I'm homesick.
So, it's not all fun and games living here. ;-) But we have to carry on and hope and dream of things to come. What's that saying I've read on dozens of poster??? Oh…"Keep Calm and Carry On". Yep. That's what I feel I'm doing these days.
