2013 Spring Show at IST

Spring show

First up: Nursery through Grade 2…each grade level has their own little song and dance show.

Grade 1 kids are supposed to be dressed in silly outfits. Their set includes: Crocodile Gal, Stand Up & Sit Down, Words of Wisdom and finally, The Show is Over.

The first graders told lots of silly jokes while singing their songs.  HAHAHA!!!!  Sadly, I couldn't understand most of the jokes.  Actually, the other grades in the first half of the Spring Show told goofy, silly jokes too.

Whoa! That's a BIG first grade class! Grade 1 has about FORTY children!!!! (split between two teachers)

Messy-haired Avie Baby!  I swear she owns lots of combs and hair brushes!!!!

Ms. Nichols, the primary school principal, just won the pretend Big Award after guessing the correct answer to "What is the correct response to when someone says, "Knock, knock"????"  (the answer: "Who's there?")

Ms. Nichols is a great sport!!! She "won" a "million dollars" by answering her one question correctly.

"This Show is Over" (but it's not really.  Grades 3,4 & 5 are up after intermission):

Ava's silly joke:

(I sure hope that she will have more public speaking roles in the future.  I think she's a natural!)

*****Intermission*****

Grades 3, 4 and 5- You're up next!

Annika's Grade 4 class: Two pieces are from South Africa and one piece is from the Philippines. The routines include singing/chanting with dancing & jumping.

This piece, using sticks, is from the Philippines (or so says Annika and Clair).

We had a lot of fun watching all the primary school kids perform!  It looks like they had fun with it too.

Thanks kids for another fun show!  In the future, I'd really like to see both Annika and Ava take on more speaking roles in these events.  They both have clear speaking voices. 🙂

Now it's pretty late and tomorrow is a school day.  Whose idea was it to schedule this on a Wednesday????
