Window shopping on Music Street

November 3, 2013-

I've heard of Music Street in Tianjin for quite some time… and today we're here windowshopping.  Mark is thinking about getting a cello and Annika needs a brush to clean out the saxophone she's learning to play (it's a rental from our school). Our friends, Jen, Andy, Anna and Lachlan, have joined us for this excursion.

Another interesting study in contrasts: the classical-looking sculpture (which is surely new and not at all antique) against the graphic art wall painting:

The street is just lined with shop after shop (all of them relatively small) filled with musical instruments:

What's in the shops?

Just about any kind of instrument you can think of…most shops seem to specialize in either the string or brass instruments with lots of shops that sell guitars.

So…what instrument do you fancy?  Something with strings or something you can toot on????

No, we didn't end up buying a cello for Mark.  Maybe next time?
