another year….another birthday

Happy 41st birthday to me.  (do I sound excited? No????) 

This year I just didn't feel like making my traditional birthday torte (Malakoff Torte).  Actually, I didn't feel much like celebrating at all.  🙁

So, it was sweet of Mark and the girls to bake this chocolate cake for me and decorate it:

Definitely brought (what I thought would be impossible) smile to my face.
